Here is our itinerary, with features and special events to be added along the way: (Group flight details updated at the bottom.)

 

April 15: Depart Nashville (or your home city) for overnight flights with dinner and light breakfast service.

 

April 16: Arrive Dublin this morning and board our bus and meet our driver/guide. Panoramic Dublin tour to see Christchurch, Trinity College, the General Post Office, scene of the Easter Uprising, St. Stephen’s Green, and much more, ending up at Ireland’s top attraction, the Guinness Storehouse, for on-your-own lunch and tour, topped by an included pint at the Gravity Bar with sweeping views of Dublin and the Dublin Mountains.

Check in at The Morgan Hotel in the heart of the Temple Bar entertainment district. The afternoon is yours to explore.  After our Welcome Dinner, enjoy the hotel pub or explore the area and discover your own. (D)

 

April 17: Depart Dublin after breakfast for a ride across the Irish heartland with a stop in lovely Adare, one of the prettiest towns in Ireland.  Next we will stop at The Donkey Sanctuary to walk the paths and meet the lovely residents.  We move on to Blarney to visit the Castle and its famous Blarney Stone - kiss it if you want the gift of blarney, plus the best shopping in Ireland at Blarney Woolen Mills. Then to Killarney for check-in at The Gleneagle Hotel.  Group dinner and free evening to explore the many shops and pubs. (B,D)

 

April 18: We will start our day with a drive around the Ring of Kerry, one of the world’s most scenic drives, with stops along the way, including one at a farm to see a sheepdog demonstration. This afternoon, take a horse-drawn jaunting cart ride into Killarney National Park. Enjoy dinner on your own at one of many great restaurants at the hotel or in town. (B)

 

April 19: Depart Killarney for a trip to the lovely town of Dingle on the scenic Dingle Peninsula. We will take a panoramic tour of Tralee, home of the Rose of Tralee Festival, then check into ancient Ballyseede Castle outside Tralee. Our dinner is a royal feast in the castle, then a relaxing evening in the ornate castle pub or beautiful sitting rooms. (B,D)

 

April 20: Depart after breakfast and head to Bunratty Castle and Folk Park, then to Ballina, a pretty village that is across the Shannon River from the town of Killaloe, birthplace of Brian Boru, the greatest of the Irish High Kings. We stay at the Lakeside Hotel, overlooking the Shannon River, for 2 nights. Before dinner, we’ll have a private one-hour cruise on the River Shannon and Lough Derg with stunning views and historic narration. Tonight we’ll have a group dinner at the hotel. (B,D) 

 

April 21:  Today we will visit the famous Cliffs of Moher, towering 600 feet above the Atlantic.  Have you seen the movie The Princess Bride?  You may recognize the Cliffs of Insanity.  As…you….wish…. Nearby is the quaint village of Doolin, then on to the unique moonscape of The Burren for some exploring. The rest of the afternoon and evening are yours to explore. (B)

 

April 22: Farewell to Ballina as we head to the Rock of Cashel to explore the hilltop home of the ancient High Kings of Ireland, where Brian Boru was crowned.  Head north toward the pretty town of Kildare to see St. Brigid’s Cathedral and ancient Round Tower with an optional climb to the top for a stunning view of the countryside.  We’ll stop at Newbridge Silverware with its impressive Icons of Style Museum, with costumes from some of the biggest stars in history. Late this afternoon we arrive at our airport area hotel and enjoy our Farewell Dinner (B,D) 

 

April 23: Shuttle from airport hotel to Dublin Airport for our flights home, arriving later today.

Here are the group air flight details on American Airlines. Flights were just changed by the airline.  Please make note of changes. Guests booking their own air should send us their flight details so we can confirm meetup details in Dublin.
