Tradfest features concerts in the pubs of Temple Bar, Dublin's entertainment district, plus venues such as St. Patrick’s Cathedral and Dublin Castle. Our can meet the artists, enjoy private sessions, and get VIP seating. Then go into the west to Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way with lovely Westport on the Atlantic Ocean in scenic County Mayo, plus a stay in a castle.

Monday, January 25: Group air departs for overnight flight to Dublin.
Tuesday, January 26: Those on the group flight will meet our representative at Dublin Airport. Guests who booked their own flights can proceed to the hotel via taxi or bus. At 4 p.m., we’ll gather in the hotel lobby for an optional 60-90 minute walking tour of the Dublin area around our hotel. If you prefer, you can do your own thing. Between today and tomorrow, you’ll have time to see Christ Church Cathedral, Saint Patrick’s Cathedral, Dublin Castle, Trinity College, the General Post Office, Grafton Street, some of the National Museums (which all have free admission) and much more. We’ll have our Official Tradfest Tour VIP Reception, followed by a Welcome Dinner tonight at 7 p.m. The rest of the evening is yours to explore and perhaps find a musical session at a neighboring pub. Wednesday, January 27: This is a day of leisure to discover Dublin and its surrounding areas. We’ll be there to lead the way or give advice on things to do, and we encourage you to study Ireland’s capital for ideas on what you’d like to do. Dublin’s official visitor’s site is www.visitdublin.com. During our group dinner at 6 p.m., we will have a private VIP Tradfest show with entertainment, and then head to our show. Doors open at 8 pm. Show starts at 8:30 pm. (B,D)
Thursday, January 28: Depart our hotel at 9 a.m. for our excursion of Dublin, to include the Guinness Storehouse, Kilmainham Jail, tour of Croke Park, the 85,000 seat stadium and home to the biggest Gaelic games. We then visit Howth Head, which is a peninsula, or head, outside Dublin. We’ll take you to the top of the mountain above this charming fishing village for fantastic views, plus time to explore some of the trails overlooking Dublin Bay and the Irish Sea. Lunch is in the village with many choices. Then we go to lovely Malahide Castle for a tour. Doors open at 7:30 pm for our 8 pm show. (B)
Friday, January 29: At 9 a.m., we depart Dublin We then cruise to lovely Westport on Ireland's Wild Atlantic Way, where we check in at The Hotel Westport and enjoy dinner at the hotel's excellent restaurant. (B,D)
Saturday, January 30: At 9 am., we tour Connemara, including a stop at a farm for a sheepdog demonstration and a look at farm life in a lovely setting at Glen Keen Farm. We’ll visit a GAA club to learn about hurling and other Irish sports that are a major part of the culture. (B)
Sunday, January 31: (B,D) Today we visit the Cliffs of Moher, then the lunar landscape of The Burren. We'll have time to tour, shop and dine in lively Galway before returning to Westport. (B,D)
Monday, February 1: We’ll depart Westport and visit Clonmacnoise, an ancient monastic settlement on the banks of the River Shannon. We'll stop for a tour and tasting at Kilbeggan Distillery, the oldest continuously operating distillery in Ireland. Onward to our hotel near Dublin Airport for our Farewell Dinner (B)
Tuesday, February 2: This morning, guests on group air will depart from the hotel to Dublin Airport. It’s recommended that guests arrive at the airport 3 hours before departure so plan your hotel departure time accordingly.
