Wednesday, April 23
Fly from the city of your choice to Dublin with in-flight meal service.
Thursday, April 24
Arrive in Dublin. Meet our driver and head to the Irish Sea to tour Malahide Castle, the beautiful views atop Howth Head, then lunch in the village of Howth with views of the harbor and fishing fleet. Head west and check in at fabulous Hotel Killashee in County Kildare hotel. Relax, have a pint in the pub before our Welcome Dinner. (D)
Friday, April 25
Depart for Newbridge Silverware to explore the lovely showroom, cafe, and the amazing Styles of Icon Museum with outfits worn in many iconic movies and more. Then on to charming Kildare town for on-your-own exploring and lunch. We head into the Wild Wicklow Mountains to visit Powerscourt House and Gardens, including their Avoca Weavers Shop and cafe. Back to our hotel to relax and have our group dinner. (B, D)
Saturday, April 26
Head to Killarney with stops in Limerick for a photo op at King John’s Castle, then a rest break in charming Adare with its classic thatched roof cottages. Check in for four nights at the Killarney International Hotel in the heart of town. You’re free to explore and dine at the hotel or in town with many choices of restaurants and pubs. (B)
Sunday, April 27
We’re off to the scenic Ring of Kerry, with several stops, including a farm for a sheep dog demonstration, and an Irish coffee stop. You’ll have time this afternoon to explore, take a jaunting cart ride in Killarney National Park across from our hotel, or visit nearby Ross Castle. Dinner on your own. (B)
Monday, April 28
Today we’ll go to Blarney, home of Blarney Castle and its famous Blarney Stone, which you can kiss if you want to climb up the ruins of the castle walls. The Blarney Woolen Mills have some of Ireland’s best shopping. We’ll also visit Cobh and the Heritage Center, the location of the last stop of the Titanic. Onward through Cork, Ireland’s second biggest city, then to colorful Kinsale on the southern coast. Dinner on your own. (B)
Tuesday, April 29
Enjoy Killarney at your leisure all day. (B)
Wednesday, April 30
We depart Killarney and travel to the Dingle Peninsula for amazing scenery, history and lovely Dingle town for lunch and shopping. Later this afternoon we check in at Ballyseede Castle outside Tralee with a royal feast for dinner (B,D)
Thursday, May 1
Drive back this morning to Dublin, then do a panoramic tour, plus a stop at St. Patrick’s Cathedral. We’ll check in near St. Stephens Green at the Iveagh Gardens Hotel, a historic property built in historic Georgian townhomes, then have our Farewell Dinner. The rest of the evening is yours to explore or relax in the hotel pub. (B, D)
Friday, May 2
After breakfast, we’ll head to the airport to check in and clear U.S. Customs (so we don’t have to do it when we land in the U.S.). We fly with meal service and arrive home this evening. (B)
